Activities Assistant | Life Enrichment

Immanuel Campus of care is looking to hire an enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our Life Enrichment team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of Life Enrichment experience in a healthcare environment.

Job Functions

• Assist in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating quality activity programs (includes entertainment, exercise, relaxation, and education)
• Chart patient progress and behavior.
• Escorts residents to and from activities.
• Make regular in-room visits to patients uninterested/unable to participate in group activities.
• Assist in monitoring Smoking Breaks.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Desire to work with geriatric population.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
• Ability to make independent decisions.
• Knowledgeable in areas related to patient rights, safety, and sanitation.

Employment Requirements

• Vaccinated for COVID – 19 (must have first dose prior to starting)
• Current AZ Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card (we will help you apply)
• Hands-on CPR/First Aid Certification for Healthcare Professionals
• Current TB test (available on-site)
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Shift Available

This is a Non-Exempt FLSA status position working in our Life Enrichment Department.

Shift preference will be discussed during the interview.

Salary

$14.50 – $16.50 per hour DOE
