To help us continue our commitment to making a real difference, we are currently looking for an
Activities Assistant to assist our Activities Director with group activities, one to one visits, charting, transportation and more.
Job Summary:
Shepherd of the Valley Rehabilitation and Wellness is looking for someone who has a kind approach with the elderly, is a good listener, can build rapport easily, and has good communication skills. If you are interested in making a difference in our residents lives and can work collaboratively with others, we would love to have you apply for our

Essential Functions:
- Implement group programming that promotes interaction between residents.
- Notifies residents and staff of activity schedules.
- Visits with residents on a one-to-one basis as directed by the Activities Director in order to provide:
- A friendly visitor.
- Sensory stimulation.
- Reality orientation.
- A means of meeting individual needs as outlined in each resident’s Activity Plan.
- Selects residents and communicates with nursing personnel for purpose of assistance in transporting residents to and from general activity areas.
- Responsible for general housekeeping duties in Activity areas
