LinQuest Corporation is seeking a highly motivated Action Officer (AO) to support the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Space Acquisition and Integration (SAF/SQ).

This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team defining our National Security Space Enterprise Architecture and developing new acquisition processes required to deliver space capabilities on rapid timelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Action Officer directly supports the Director of the Executive Action Group (SAF/SQE) by overseeing and directing the receipt, assignment, tracking and closure of all internal and external tasks. The AO manages the staff action tracking system. The AO establishes and maintains effective working relationships with customers and other stakeholders both internal and external to the organization. The selected candidate should thrive in a work environment with high expectations and be able to manage varied assignments on specified timelines with attention to details. Working as a member of a diverse team, the Action Officer will:

  • Perform administrative tasks including maintaining records, schedules, and correspondence.
  • Manage staff actions for the supported office using the Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2) application.
  • Analyze incoming tasks and assign responsibility for their completion to the appropriate staff section.
  • Monitor progress on actions; generate metrics to measure the organization’s performance in meeting deadlines and quality expectations; prepare periodic reports on the status of staff actions and keep leadership aware of late, pending, and new actions.
  • Check responses for proper formatting and completeness prior to senior management review.
  • Manage and execute the action tracking process: develop standard operating procedures and serve as facilitator for users’ requirements.
  • Draft, proofread, edit and provide final review of internal and external correspondence.
  • Manage records generated during the execution of the organization’s projects and programs in accordance with Federal laws and regulations, as well as military Directives and Instruction.
  • Lead the development and streamlining of assigned support processes and functions;
  • Deliver briefings to organizational leaders on the status of assigned tasks.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance to be considered for the position
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2-7 years of relevant work experience (Experience in lieu of a degree or a degree in lieu of experience may be permitted)
  • Excellent organizations skills: ability to plan, track, and maintain due dates for multiple taskings and products central to the organization’s business processes
  • Demonstrated proficiency with using Microsoft Office and other standard computer applications
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Ability to present information in a briefing to senior leaders
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively with personnel at all levels of the customer organization to delivery results; strong networking, interpersonal, and customer service skills are key

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working successfully with senior executives at multiple organizational levels
  • Familiarity with task management (i.e., task assignment, tracking, and status reporting) applications such as ETMS2, Task Management Tool (TMT), or Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS) is strongly desired
  • Experience fostering stable and productive working relationships that communicate expectations and promote cooperation
  • Experience communicating effectively and concisely using a variety of styles and techniques appropriate to the audience
