ACQUISITION ANALYST

LOCATION: Dahlgren, VA

SUMMARY: The Acquisition Analyst will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (AB) with development and analysis of programmatic data for program management support. Alternative responsibilities may encompass development and execution of acquisition strategies/plans, contract requirements, supporting prime contract monitoring/management activities, and writing and negotiating Support Agreements to facilitate inter/intra-agency acquisitions based on MDA, U.S.C., DoDI and FAR process and policies requirements.

  • Provide support in interpretation and execution of MDA Acquisition policies, directives, guidance, and instructions
  • Provide support in developing, maintaining, monitoring, and reporting against program baselines
  • Provide support in gathering and analyzing programmatic data for internal Agency oversight reviews of programs
  • Provide support in program and contract management processes through the preparation and/or review of acquisition, contracts and program management documentation and briefings to include white papers, reports, metrics, SOWs, CDRLSs, Special Provisions, Source Selection Evaluation plans, BARS, DPRs, PERs, PMRs, and others as needed
  • Provide support in preparing briefings and correspondence for external customer RFIs (e.g., GAO / Congressional / DoDIG / DoD oversight groups)
  • Provide support in analysis of acquisition requirements and provide recommendations during all phases of acquisition lifecycle

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Advanced level - Bachelor's/Advanced degree required and/or 10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in the DoD system acquisition life cycle required
  • Prior MDA experience preferred
  • FMS experience a plus
  • Knowledge and experience in acquisition, procurement, and/or contracting highly desirable
  • Must possess exceptionally strong communications and analytical skills, be a self starter, detail-oriented, work well with a team, interacts with multiple levels and functional areas and able to manage customer and contractor relationships

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
  • Must have proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, CLEARANCE:

  • Must hold and be able to maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
