Accounts Receivable Team Lead

Pay Rate: $19.85 - 24.60

Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based behavioral health services in New Hampshire, is seeking a full-time Accounts Receivable Team Lead in our Concord location. The position reports to the Director of Accounts Receivable.

Charged with primary responsibility for supervision of A/R representatives by assisting the Director of Accounts Receivable, the A/R Team Lead will assist in supervising the daily operations of the A/R department, supervise and train staff to perform billing, follow-up, and cash posting services for client accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily operations of A/R relative to client accounts which includes billing, follow-up, and cash posting.
  • Plan, organize and implement procedures to maximize effective collections of A/R while minimizing bad debt.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Implement claims management procedures by transmitting eligible claims and rejecting non-eligible claims; Determine root cause of non-eligible claims.
  • Review and analyze A/R reports weekly; Provide weekly, bi-weekly and monthly reports on the productivity of daily operations.
  • Implement policies and procedures for maximum productivity with controls in place to monitor staff production and efficiency.
  • Train A/R personnel utilizing appropriate training methods including 1:1 interaction.
  • Provide direct support for the A/R staff and external customers by answering questions, concerns, and payor issues.
  • Ensure payments are applied timely to client accounts, that secondary insurance has been billed (if applicable), and/or that the client has been billed for any remaining balance, if necessary.
  • Ensure cash deposits are posted by the last working day of the month.
  • Handle difficult aged-trial balance by contacting insurance companies and clients to resolve outstanding account balances.
  • Maintain current client insurance information and ensure strict confidentiality of clients’ records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Associates degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three years experience with A/R processes including keying and follow up with insurance payors is preferred.
  • Relevant experience in medical or behavioral health-related agency is required.
  • Experience with computerized A/R system and Excel is preferred.
  • Leadership experience preferred
