Accounts Receivable Specialist– Mineral Ridge, OH

Salary: Full Time (40 hours per week); Competitive pay rate based on previous experience; Comprehensive Benefits Package for Full Time

Shifts: Monday – Friday, Dayshift

Responsibilities:

  • Daily processing of cash, EFT and credit card payments.
  • Properly apply cash receipts to the correct customer account as well as code properly in the general ledger.
  • Communicate with customers and internal employees to resolve discrepancies and reconcile cash receipt discrepancies.
  • Assist in weekly and monthly reconciliations, journal entries and closing activities. Investigate unusual or unexpected results and resolve discrepancies.
  • Perform special projects, requests or tasks as needed
  • Monitor aging of accounts past due and take necessary action to ensure timely collection.
  • Assist during audits.


Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in accounting, medical or related field is preferred but not required
  • 4+ years of automated Accounts Receivable preferred
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Google
  • Working knowledge of General ledger, bookkeeping skills and journal entries required.
  • Customer Service with strong communication skills and critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to work within stressful situations that may arise when meeting deadlines
  • Capable of independent thinking

Miscellaneous requirements: Criminal background check; Pre-employment drug screen; Clear driving record; valid driver license and own transportation. Work with limited supervision. Ability to make independent sound judgments in dealing with a variety of situations and be self-driven. Ability to establish and maintain harmonious relationships. Demonstrated ability to track progress and maintain contact. Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written) with staff, employees, management, referral sources, public, etc. Ability to write accurate and concise reports. Ability to work with and be sensitive to people from diverse backgrounds. Ability to comply with policies and procedures at various employer locations. Knowledge of research principles for gathering, analyzing, and reporting data. Knowledge of social work or related principles, practices, and techniques. Possess effective interview and assessment skills. Ability to effectively use web-based tools and resources. Effective organizational and responsive communication skills. Knowledge of community and other resource agencies. Working knowledge of community employment resources and job market. Must be flexible in workday functions to meet the needs of clients. Strong desire and ability to work as a team member
