Summary: This dual role will play an important part with first impressions on Preston Refrigeration's customers, vendors and any other outside personnel, while assisting in both AR/AP.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with Accounts Payable invoicing and data entry.
- Handling payments in an organized and timely manner.
- Works with 1099 Contractors to collect invoices and issue payments based on times submitted.
- Ensures imaging of invoices for supporting documents is timely and accurately performed.
- Assists in streamlining the accounts payable and receivable process.
- Assists account receivable and other departments to resolve account issues when necessary.
- Process incoming ACH and check payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Verify discrepancies and resolve any short payments received.
- Send out monthly statements and collection letters to accounts past due.
- Prepare and process work orders and Parts department invoicing.
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance and motivated, positive attitude.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Business, Accounting or Finance; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in Word, Outlook, and Excel. Experience with Vista Viewpoint preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer for various tasks beyond general accounting.
- Understanding of payments, accounting, and budgeting.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to preserve confidentiality of information pertaining to all areas of Preston Refrigeration.
