Our client, a leading real estate company, is currently seeking an accomplished Accounts Payable Clerk to join the team. Here is an overview of the role:
1) Perform timely and accurate recording and payment of all bills for an assigned portfolio with the company’s paperless workflow process
2) Enter invoices using timberline and DocStar software
3) Ensure all available invoices in the system prior to closing out the month
4) Oversee a bi-monthly payment schedule
5) Review vendor statements and electronically distribute to the Property Managers for signoff and approval
6) Set up new vendors in systems and maintain vendor history
7) Assist property accountant and provide applicable information
8) Assist auditors and tax preparers at year-end by providing applicable information
9) Access critical, confidential and time-sensitive information
10) Perform other duties as assigned
Critical Requirements
1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field
2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
3) Recent experience in the real estate industry is strongly preferred
4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in accounting
