FOCUS OF GA IS SEEKING AN ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK FOR A UNIVERSITY IN KENNESAW!!

Please note: Once an offer is made, candidate will have to pass a credit check. No open collections are allowed!

Pay Rate: up to $23.00 an hour

Location: Kennesaw, GA 30144. 100% Onsite- once trained, there is the possibility of a hybrid schedule.

Duration: 6 months with the possibility to go permanent.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm. There can be some flexibility with the start and end time.

Ideal Start Date: ASAP/ mid-February

Job Description/Main Duties:

Primary responsibilities are the daily retrieval, review, and processing of payment requests, and questions submitted via email related to vendor payments. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to obtain the action needed to ensure timely payment processing. The candidate should be detail oriented, an exceptional communicator, and a flexible team player that is able to set priorities to complete timely processing of payments.

• Review and process invoices assigned through ChangeGear
• Process PO and non-PO payments in PeopleSoft
• Successfully identify and expedite special handling requests for payments
• Prepare voucher adjustments or general ledger journal changes.
• Effectively communicate with vendors and campus faculty/staff regarding discrepancies in amounts, status of payment, documentation and report requirements, purchase order requirements, and to provide information regarding related policies
• Supporting activities to ensure the timely processing of related vendor payments

Desired Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of bookkeeping

· Previous experience with PeopleSoft, Concur Travel and Expense Processing and Intermediate to Advanced Excel.
