GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education and/or Certification:

  • Master's Degree, accounting or related field (nice to have)
  • Bachelor's Degree, accounting or related field

Required Experience

  • 10+ years accounting and management experience
  • Ability to establish process for activities that lead to implementation of systems
  • Ability to identify alternative solutions and select best option
  • Knowledgeable of financial/accounting requirements
  • Analyzes information effectively
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Team player with the aptitude for multi-tasking, meeting deadlines, and building relationships with team members, vendors, and customers
  • Experience with MS Office Products – Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and Accounting software
  • Sage/Crystal Reports experience
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Demonstrates initiative and flexibility
  • Strong problem-solving skills and effective time management

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and BASIC DUTIES

  • Establish accounting processes
  • Manage receivables aging
  • Oversee payables and receivables
  • Conduct business analysis
  • Establish and maintain customer credit standards
  • Close books (monthly, quarterly, yearly)
  • Investigate inquiries from leadership team
  • Payroll entries into Accounting Software
  • Project cash flow
  • Identify profit leakage and implement system/process to stop leakage
  • Review profit and loss on each job
  • Establish and maintain rebate tracking system
  • Facilitate monthly financial review meeting
  • Conduct 1 on 1 meetings
  • Manage team performance
  • Mentor team
  • Resolve escalated issues
  • Organize financial data
  • Conducts oneself only in a professional way while associated with SouthEnd Exteriors.
  • Works in a safe manner always and consistently provide a safe work environment.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures adherence to all State and Federal guidelines and Industry regulations
  • Performs other duties as required
