How you will make an impact as the Accounting Manager:

• Perform monthly closing procedures, including review of journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules and statistical analysis
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports, including comparison to budget and historical trends
• Monitor and review invoices for compliance with sales and use tax regulations and prepare sales and use tax returns
• Aid in the preparation of personal property tax returns
• Assist with annual financial audit preparation
• Coordinate 401(k) Plan audit and partner with HR to support the financial management of the 401(k) Plan, including preparation of contribution calculations, review of 5500 filings, etc.
• Drive internal control enhancements
• Coordinate special projects including the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures

What we're looking for in the Accounting Manager:

• 7+ years of experience in accountant position; healthcare and public accounting experience preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Solid understanding of GAAP principles
• Advanced Excel skills, including ability to create pivot tables, macros and use of other advanced functions
• High attention to detail, solid critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to work independently to assess available information, draw conclusions and understandings, and present such conclusions effectively to other parties
