Accounting Clerk:

Assist in entering journal entries and support in monthly closing

Support administrative requirements of the CFO as well as the fiscal department

Conduct various account reconciliations

Track and process billing, identify and apply cash to open receivables

Reconcile billings and process disbursements

Prepare monthly Bank Reconciliations

Reconcile Donations accounts on a monthly basis

Assist Account Coordinator in administrative duties

Monitor vendors and deadlines to ensure timely payment

Update Financial Edge with charges and corresponding payments on a regular basis

Assist in coordinating information for annual audit

Establish & maintain office systems for fiscal department

Document and evaluate accounting procedures and policies

Develop schedule and spreadsheets for various financial purposes

Education: (min.) High school diploma; training in bookkeeping or accounting a plus

Experience: (min) 3 years relevant experience. Adequate knowledge of accounting policies and procedures and their practical application in real situations. Adequate knowledge and experience in business processes, systems’ controls within a service organization. An ability to improve processes, both computer and procedure based.
