POSITION SUMMARY

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for processing and recording transactions, report preparation, budgets, and other duties as assigned. This role is highly collaborative, requires a high attention to detail, confidentiality, and exceptional communication skills.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

• Maintain up-to-date financial records by tracking all transactions
• Analyze financial information in order to identify discrepancies
• Support duties related to accounts payable and receivable functions
• Assist with preparation of financial and statistical statements and reports
• Generate and provide weekly financial reports
• Track KPIs for certain roles
• Maintain confidentiality of all financial data
• Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
• Processing transactions, issuing checks, and updating ledgers, budgets, etc.
• Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.
• Attend and participate in internal meetings and complete required training
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management

KEY COMPETENCIES

• Familiarity with basic accounting principles
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, and QuickBooks
• Ability to stay motivated and maintain a positive attitude
• Committed to working efficiently and accurately
• Professional manner and strong ethical code
• Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines
• Highly proficient with computers and software to include Mac, Sky slope

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 2 years of progressive experience of hands-on accounting experience in an administrative, coordinator, or related support role
• Experience working with team members across multiple levels

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Requires ability to occasionally lift up to 25lbs
