Accounting Assistant, Temporary Role
$18hr - $20hr
Monday- Friday
8:00 am to 5:00 pm
North Salt Lake City, UT
An established company in Northern Utah is seeking a contract Accounting Assistant to assist their team for a contract period! The Accounting Assistant will process a variety of journal entries and reconciliations and perform various support functions as required as a part of the accounting department. Responsibilities of the Accounting Assistant:
- Accurately complete data entry projects
- Compile and track accounting information and documents
- Prepare financial documents for processing which may include accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing card transactions, and/or time entry
- Record and properly classify financial transactions in the accounting system
- Communicate and confirm information with the appropriate business leaders
- Maintain well-organized filing and tracking systems
- Run reports as required
- Perform other duties as requested by leadership
Skills and Experience Required:
- Intermediate Excel skills required
- Very detailed, thorough, and accurate
- Good at resolving problems
- Ability to continually improve processes
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, etc.)
- Experience with customer service a plus
- Willingness to pitch in anywhere as needed (sales tax processing, AP, filing, answering phone, etc.
- Hybrid Schedule- 4 days in office, 1 day remote; Equipment provided
- Located in a convenient area surrounded by shopping centers, grocery stores, and entertainment
