The Accountant -Large G/L Platform represents and works with the Consulting division of CapinCrouse. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results to support clients through ad hoc conversations that may entail researching accounting specific transactions and situations.

The Accountant -Large G/L Platform represents and works with the Consulting division of CapinCrouse. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results to support clients through ad hoc conversations that may entail researching accounting specific transactions and situations.
What you will do
- Maintains records of financial transactions by posting deposits/receipts, entering bills and credit card transactions and processing payments to vendors under the supervision of the accountant
- Responsible for standard, recurring, reversing, and adjusting journal entries for clients using sophisticated G/L packages.
- Perform payroll functions in an accurate and timely manner and submit payroll taxes.
- Develops system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts with all new clients
- Balances general ledger through timely reconciliations.
- Maintains historical records by properly organizing and filing important documents and paperwork
- Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions
What you will bring

- Reporting research results
- Data entry skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Knowledge and understanding of GAAP
- CPA is a plus
- Previous bookkeeping experience preferred
- Experience in working with multiple clients
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Proficient in a large G/L package such as ACS, Microsoft Dynamics GP, or Sage Intacct

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At CapinCrouse LLP, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. CapinCrouse LLP reserves the right to make changes to the salary range based on business needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $50,000 to $75,000.
