Wurth Revcar Fasteners, Inc., a division of the Wurth Industry Group, is seeking a highly motivated, career-minded individual as a corporate accountant for their rapidly expanding Roanoke, VA office.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure complete, accurate, and timely recording of assigned financial transactions.
• Prepare journal entries and other general ledger postings.
• Assist in the reconciliation of bank statements.
• Conduct bank transfers.
• Submission of sales tax filings
• Pay invoices related to the import of inventory.
• Administer the monthly review of employee credit card purchases.
• Help manage the company's import and domestic freight. With an emphasis on cost reduction and route optimization.
• Assist with month-end close and monthly financial statement preparation.
• Assist in providing documentation and data for the year-end external audit.
• Prepare other financial reports, as necessary.
• Maintain accounting practices and procedures, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
• Assist in other tasks, initiatives, and projects as assigned by the controller.

Requirements:

• A 4-year college degree in accounting or finance, or at least 2 years of equivalent accounting experience, is required.
• Proficiency, or the ability to reach proficiency, in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• Experience with an ERP system (Prophet 21 or similar software) and Crystal Reports is highly preferred.
• Possess strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Have the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
• Timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills are
• Work well in a fast-paced team environment.
• Self-motivated
