Shawnee Health is seeking an Accountantfor our Shawnee Health Carterville Administrationoffice. This position reports directly to the Accountant IV.

Responsibilities

· Cash Management of banking accounts including management/analysis of balances, transferring of funds, as wells as recording receipts and disbursements in general journals.

· Complete reconciliations on accounts to verify posting accuracy.

· Work with program directors to develop and maintain program budgets.

· Prepare monthly financial statements for the board of directors and program directors.

· Review and manage program activities for accuracy and allowability.

· Prepare federal, state, and local funding agency financial reports following award requirements.

· Perform Annual Audit Functions including preparation of reconciliation schedules, review of program entries, and adjustments in general journal.

· Assist with Payroll Processing including review of timesheets, preparation of pay checks, and posting in general journal.

· Assist with accounting procedures and process instructions.

Requirements

· A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required.

· Experience in an accounting related field preferred.

Starting salary range - $58,080-$63,320 per year (higher with relevant experience) with a 3% increase upon successful completion of the new hire probationary period.

Full-time employee benefits include:

COVID-19 vaccination is a mandatory condition of employment. Absent an approved exemption/accommodation, all employees must be fully vaccinated by receiving both doses of a two-dose vaccine series (Pfizer or Moderna) or one dose of the single-dose vaccine (Janssen) at least fourteen (14) days prior to or on their first day of work. If not already vaccinated, new hires cannot begin work until they: (1) are fourteen (14) days post one dose of the single-dose vaccine (Janssen); (2) are fourteen (14) days post second dose of a two-dose vaccine series (Pfizer or Moderna); or (3) receive an approved exemption/accommodation. Employees who refuse COVID-19 vaccination in accordance with this mandate absent an approved exemption/accommodation will be considered to have voluntarily resigned from employment or, if an individual has not yet started employment, their offer of employment will be withdrawn. Shawnee Health Service reserves the right to not offer employment to unvaccinated individuals if staffing needs cannot accommodate a delayed start date.

Pay: $58,080.00 - $63,320.00 per year
