As we continue to grow, we are looking to add an Accountant to our corporate team in Santa Fe Springs.
The role provides you with the chance to work with a cohesive team, in a position where the right person will have a strong desire to learn, grow and take on additional responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Inventory
- Handling all inventory transactions for accounting including but not limited to inventory counts, reconciliation, reporting, transfers, and ordering of stock.
- Setting up and maintaining corporate inventory records in Salesforce
- Transferring inventory between locations in Epicor
- Tying Ellison inventory at all locations to the general ledger and investigating any discrepancies.
- Oversee and managing annual inventory counts / cycle counting
- Answering audit requests related to inventory
- Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Review and prepare journals for recognizing revenue over time for large machine projects
- Month-end reporting
- Supporting the Director of Accounting with the Corporate month close
- Internal control testing and review quarterly
- Reviewing and update accounting policies and procedures
- Train with and back-up the division controllers
- Accounting degree (CPA a plus)
- At least a year as a staff accountant with an organization audited by a major CPA firm
- Experience with inventory count
- Knowledge of Salesforce and Epicor is a plus
- Ability to work independently, accurately, and timely in a fast-paced environment while multi-tasking
- Ability to understand a problem or issue and concisely and accurately explain it to others to facilitate resolution.
- Strong communication and follow-up skills
- Applying GAAP standards and providing input to improving current processes
- Communicating with all levels of employees
