The position is primarily remote, but will be required to be in the office 1 day per week.

Candidates should live within 1 hour of driving distance of our office in Orlando, FL, near Universal Studios

The Accountant’s responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.

Accountabilities

• Prepare journal entries
• Complete general ledger operations
• Complete and/or assist with monthly closings the preparation of monthly financial statements
• Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
• Prepare analysis of accounts as requested
• Assist with year-end closings
• Administer accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Prepare tax computations and returns
• Assist with payroll administration
• Monitor and resolve bank issues including fee anomalies and check differences
• Complete account/bank reconciliations
• Review and process expense reports
• Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process
• Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• One (1) or more years of accounting related experience.
• Strong personal computer skillset including MS Office and accounting software.
• Strong analytical, research and critical thinking skills as well as decision-making skills.
