Our client has asked for our assistance in locating an Accountant to ensure that balance sheet account reconciliations for bank operations are accurate, properly supported, and completed timely. The client is looking for large/complex environment experience.
MUST HAVE STRONG ATTENTION TO DETAIL.
ADVANCE LEVEL MS ACCESS & EXCEL REQUIRED.
Bank Reconciliations in accordance with GAAP
Ensure that account reconciliations are properly stated with adequate supporting documentation.
Work with management to improve the quality of the account reconciliations.
Identify areas where controls and procedures can be improved in the preparation of the account reconciliations and propose solutions.
Understand all activities in the assigned balance sheet accounts.
Clearly communicate issues to management.
Maintain appropriate records, files, and documentation.
Respond to internal and external audit requests
Ability to work independently and accept responsibility for their work.
Ability to communicate clearly and expresses ideas concisely, and effectively.
Excellent reconciling and problem solving skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Aptitude to manipulate large amounts of data.
Ability to search for ideas and propose improvements that will improve the efficiency and accuracy of the month end close and reconciliation process.
Work effectively within the department and across departments as a proactive team member.
Ability to prioritize, multitask and meet deadlines in a fast paced changing environment.
Ability to analyze and adjust processes and procedures for highest accuracy and efficiency.
Advanced level knowledge of GAAP.
Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Experience with Oracle Financials software preferred
