Description: The Account Supervisor is responsible for account leadership in client relations and in internal administration of accounts. The Account Supervisor is who account executives look for support, guidance, and counsel, and to whom clients look to as the agency’s representative on a policy level.
RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Overall growth and development of the account.
  • Adherence to budgets and cost control.
  • Meet profit goals on each account.
  • Maintaining a high level of performance by the account teams and other agency personnel, as needed.
  • Being personally involved, informed, and providing positive service, with the goal of maintaining a solid client and agency relationship.
  • Update management with account status, issues, plans, meetings; and involve personnel at key times.
  • Preserve and foster WI’s culture and maintain a positive and forward-thinking attitude.
  • Fostering WI’s Culture of equity and inclusion and maintaining a positive and forward-thinking mindset.

COORDINATING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The primary coordinating responsibilities are those that directly affect the client and agency relationship and those that relate to overall agency operations.
  • Coordinate activities of the members of the account teams to see that they work together, deliver the best possible product, and efficiently contribute to the client’s business.

DETAILED DUTIES

  • Organize and participate in annual review and pre-planning sessions internally and/or with client.?
  • Lead and coordinate the planning operation; supervise the writing of an annual plan and arrange presentations to agency review team.
  • Participate in the presentation to client of annual plans and significant interim programs.
  • Periodically review account status and maintain client contact commensurate with needs; and arrange policy meetings with client.
  • Prepare annual forecast and subsequent adjustments; aid in collection of past due invoices and billing action no jobs over 90 days old; approve “write-offs” and adjustments on billing.
  • Be the first point of approval on expense accounts, travel plans, vacation schedules, cash advances, and other routine requests by the account team.
  • Implement account management division directives, procedures, and policies.
  • Oversee Account Executives.

Requirements:

  • BA or BS degree in Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or related field.
  • Multicultural (African American, Hispanic, and/or LGBTQ) experience required. This means knowing how to advocate for these segments.
  • 3 – 5 years of advertising agency experience and experience interfacing with clients with 3+ years managing/leading all components of major clients.
  • Experience within Digital and Broadcast Production.
  • In-depth understanding of the strategic marketing, business and the competitive landscape.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Must have the ability to motivate staff, peers and clients.
  • Must have the ability to be proactive and use initiative.
  • Must have a strong handle on MS Office products.
  • Previous experience in QSR a must.
  • Ability to effectively forecast and allocate resources based on current and future workload.
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple client accounts, team members and deal with conflict fairly and swiftly.
  • All members of the account team must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, the ability to motivate staff, peers and clients and the ability to be proactive and use initiative.
  • Must have a strong handle on MS Office products.
  • Open to candidates in other states but preference is given if you live in Chicago, IL.

The salary range for this position is $70,000.00 to $120,000.00. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; the associated discipline; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company(applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
