VSC Fire & Security, a leading fire protection and life safety system contractor, is seeking qualified candidates for an Accounts Receivable & Collections Clerk for our Corporate office in Richmond, VA
This position will be responsible for customer facing collections efforts to include, statements, payment processing, customer account research and maintenance. Under the direct supervision of the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, this position works with other accounting staff, senior management, and district staff to accomplish job functions.
MAJOR JOB FUNCTIONS
- Contact customers to resolve past due balances.
- Issue monthly customer statements.
- Research and resolve unapplied cash applications and credits.
- Process customer credit card payments.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge and experience of accounts receivable to include experience in collections and payment applications.
- 1-2 years of collections experience is essential.
- Demonstrated PC skills to include Microsoft Office and other accounting Windows based software.
- Ability to work with high degree of accuracy and organization.
- Ability to represent the Company in a professional manner.
- Good interpersonal communication skills and integrity.
- Provide department backup.
