Account Manager (AM) | ** Must Live in Maui, Hawaii **

Hawaii Unified (HU) is currently seeking highly motivated construction professionals to join our company in the Account Manager position. HU Account Managers pursue relationships with potential new accounts and seek business expansion opportunities with current clients to increase revenue. He/She must also gain a detailed knowledge of products and services being offered by Hawaii Unified and ensure that products and services consistently meet client needs. This position exists in a fast-paced environment and will see persons handling a high volume of departmental requests.

Responsibilities of the Account Manager:

Account Managers are the primary point of contact for customer service in the Facility Maintenance Department. AM’s are responsible for entering in new work orders using a work order tracking system as well as creating invoices and quotes. Proving customer updates throughout the life-cycle of all work orders is also required.

Individuals applying for the Maui Account Manager position must exhibit strong customer service, written and verbal skills. Expertise in all company specific software, and systems is critical. The applicant must also be reliable and have an adequate source of transportation to and from work (Maui, HI). AM’s support higher-level account managers working with larger accounts. Responsibilities also include:

  • Visiting client locations periodically to ensure client satisfaction and promote ongoing contract renewal
  • Provides sales quotations and responds to requests for proposals
  • Sources and on-boards new subcontractors
  • Schedule and manage work that has been subcontracted
  • Provide progress reports to customers, to include ETAs and project completion estimates
  • Create purchase orders, invoices, and other proper documentation

An Account Manager should have the following entry Qualifications:

  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF
  • Ability to use a smartphone and computer
  • Highly skilled in customer service (experience preferred)
  • Experience working in construction or specific trade is a plus, but not necessary
  • Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills (required)
  • Must be able to work in office 40 hours a week
  • Reliable transportation to and from work

  • Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment

Skills and Education

  • 0-2 years of related experience
  • MS Office application knowledge desired
  • Experience working in construction desired
  • Bachelor Degree (preferred)

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
