Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman, a top entertainment business management firm, is seeking an Account Manager to join our team of dedicated professionals.

Location: This position can be based out of Century City, Encino, New York, or remote.

Overview of Role: The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the day-to-day business, personal, and financial affairs of assigned clients and entities. The Account Manager will supervise a small staff of Bookkeepers.

Responsibilities

• Daily client activity, including requests and timely follow up on all outstanding matters
• Review work of bookkeepers (AP/AR, cash receipt and journal entry coding, general ledger, payroll, and financial statement review)
• Review bank balances and statements and approve transfers as needed
• Monitor credit card activity, fraud alerts, and credit score issues
• Monitor insurance renewals and claims
• Assist with home and car purchases
• Other projects, as needed

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping for high net-worth individuals, preferably within business management
• 3+ years of experience in the client services field
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is highly favored
• Comprehensive knowledge of the general ledger, AP/AR, insurance, payroll, bank reconciliations, and financial statements
• Prior experience in a Lead, Senior, or Management role
• Excellent communication skills (in person, on the phone, and via email)
• Sense of urgency and demonstrated ability to follow through
• Commitment to professionalism, timeliness, and accuracy
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and databases
• Experience with Datafaction, Agilink and/or Imaging Software is highly preferred

This is an exempt position. Employee compensation is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, employee education/training/credentials, employee work experience, work location (including if the employee will be remote, hybrid, or fully in-office), the scope and responsibilities of the role, internal peer equity, and market considerations. The expected base compensation hiring range for this position is $2,884 to $4,423 bi-weekly.

Employees may also be eligible for GRF’s discretionary performance bonus and profit-sharing programs.
