Our offices are located in Mountain View, within walking distance from the Caltrain station.
Currently, we work a hybrid schedule of Tuesday and Wednesday in-office and remote work the rest of the week.

We are looking for an ambitious and self-motivated Account Development Representative to help support medium to large Educational account sales across the full range of the KiwiCo product portfolio. The Account Development Representative will be the first touchpoint in the sales cycle, and provide sales and operational support to our largest prospects and customers, throughout their sales journey with KiwiCo.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first touchpoint in the sales cycle: research potential future customers and translate this research into targeted lists of prospects who could benefit from our products and services.
  • Conduct outreach (cold calls, emails, making connections at conferences, etc.) to educate prospects about our solutions to drive consideration, helping to build the sales pipeline that enables the team to reach sales targets.
  • Work directly with customers to understand their business operations and provide consultations.
  • Schedule meetings between qualified prospects and Account Managers, moving prospects through the sales process.
  • Use email outreach and Sales Engagement tools to support lead generation and nurturing.
  • Stay current on the product catalog including customer benefits, inventory levels, pricing, and availability to present proposals tailored to each customer’s needs.
  • Assist Account Managers in providing critical sales and operational support for prospects and customers including delivering accurate and timely pricing quotes to potential customers, reserving and tracking inventory needs for large customer orders.
  • Processing orders and ensuring on-time fulfillment, troubleshooting customer issues, and working with internal customer support, operations, and finance teams to find solutions.
  • Collaborate with Finance to set up and service accounts including tax forms, vendor approvals, purchase orders and invoicing.
  • Develop and learn sales skills and capabilities with the goal of eventually growing into an Account Executive / Account Manager role.

Required Qualifications:

  • High level of energy and tenacity.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a high bias for action and drive to crush targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop trusted business relationships quickly and grow them over time.
  • Passionate about customer empathy - the ability to listen to and understand customer needs and creatively address them with solutions that exceed customer expectationsInterest in learning about new businesses and solving problems for your clients.
  • Effective and engaging written and verbal communication skills with both external customers and internal partners.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills - detail oriented and meticulous about documenting and following up on customer interactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal partners.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Start-up experience is a plus.
  • 1-2 years experience in a sales, customer service, or sales development role.
