The Division of Otolaryngology in the Department of Surgery at the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine and the University of Vermont Medical Center is seeking an academic general otolaryngologist in partnership with Porter Medical Center. Clinical duties will be divided 75% at Porter Medical Center (3 days per week) in Middlebury, Vermont and 25% at The University of Vermont Medical Center (1 day per week) in Burlington, Vermont. Although clinical responsibilities will include all aspects of general otolaryngology, preference will be given to candidates with experience or interest in medical and surgical treatment of the ear. We encourage applicants with an interest in otology to apply. Successful applicants will be appointed at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level in the clinical scholar pathway, commensurate with years of experience and accomplishments.
Applicants must be board-eligible or board-certified in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in the State of Vermont and eligible to work in the United States. In addition to a strong clinical background in otolaryngology, the candidate should have a demonstrable interest in pursuing research or and teaching in an academic division which supports medical students and otolaryngology residents in our residency training program. This is a full-time, 12-month, salaried position. with attending staff privileges at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, VT and Porter Medical Center in Middlebury, VT.
