Professor of Emergency Medicine, All Ranks

The University of Missouri (MU) School of Medicine is seeking to add emergency medicine physician faculty to its Department of Emergency Medicine.

Join MU’s University Hospital, a designated Level I trauma center with more than 70,000 ER visits annually, and/or MU Women’s and Children’s Hospital, which has approximately 27,000 ER visits annually.

We strongly encourage candidates from diverse backgrounds and those with experience in ultrasound to apply!

Details:

  • Join a department of 42 faculty members, and 25 APPs across 4 clinical locations
    • University Hospital - Level 1 Trauma
    • MU Women's Hospital
    • Capital Region Medical Center - 35,000 ER visits annually
    • Moberly Region Medical Center - 30,000 ER visits annually
  • Contribute to the medical education and training of our emergency medicine residents and PA fellows
  • For applicants who have completed a formal ultrasound fellowship, opportunities to develop and lead an ultrasound fellowship are available

Compensation:

  • Base salary + productivity incentive
  • Hiring incentives also available, to include student loan repayment assistance

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency medicine (ABEM or ABPEM)
  • Academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and career goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of a fellowship in ultrasound
  • Interest in a role as a Program Director of an ultrasound fellowship.
