Mobex Global is looking to Robotic Technicians for the following shifts: 4on4off days and 4on4off nights. The night shift receives an additional .50 cent shift premium.

Maintenance Employees are eligible for health benefits on date of hire and $5,000 Signing Bonus.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Robotic Technician ensures proper operation of casting equipment using robotic automation interfaced with PLC based equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provide first response on-floor manufacturing support.
• Review scheduling of cells and coordinate new job to cell changeovers as needed.
• Provide both general and advanced robot maintenance and programming.
• Understands robotic and cell safety.
• Identify opportunities to improve uptime and reduce costs through understanding downtime and implementation of preventative solutions for long term success.
• Perform robot Preventative maintenance.
• Perform EOAT Preventative maintenance & repairs in coordination with tooling department as required.
• Observe and practices all applicable lockout/tagout requirements during all activities.
• Observe robots and related equipment for malfunction and make adjustments or repairs as directed to ensure the robots and caster equipment will operate at maximum efficiency, within operating parameters, safely and correctly.
• Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunctions and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
• Start devices to test performance of malfunctioning machinery and discuss malfunction with other maintenance workers, including the Maintenance Manager, to diagnose malfunction.
• Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment, transformers, motors and lighting fixtures.
• Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
• Dismantle defective machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas.
• Install new or repaired parts and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment
• Remove and replace worn or defective parts of drive mechanism or hydraulic system.
• Other duties and repairs as assigned.

PRIMARY COMPETENCIES:

• 2 years’ Robotic Tech experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Basic understanding of casting operations is preferred.
• Basic PLC programming and trouble-shooting required.
• Must be self-motivated with an ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot.
• Must be able to read and understand work instructions.
• Ability to communicate with all levels within plant.
• Must possess mechanical, electrical and computer aptitude.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job is performed in work in conditions which may include seasonal hot and humid conditions, dust, noise and other elements for extended periods of time.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

This is a full-time, non-exempt position utilizing a 4 on/off schedule rotation including weekends, holidays and during annual shutdowns.
