Job Type

Part Time/Fee for Service ABA Therapist for clinic and in-home cases

Job Hours

Up to 20 Hrs a week, with flexibility on Mon & Tues between the hours of 9am and 5pm. Wed/Thurs/Fri between firm between 4pm & 6pm. We are willing to accept applicants that commit to a partial schedule

Brooklyn, NY (near Newkirk Plaza)

Job Compensation

$65-$100 per hr based on education, experience and certifications

Your Impact Here at MBC

• Implement ABA-based programs using DTT, Learn Unit, Task Analysis, probe data and NET teaching methods
• Collect program and behavior data which can include but are not limited to aggression, SIB, property destruction, elopement, stereotypy
• Implement research-based interventions to decrease interfering behaviors and teach replacement skills
• Engage in CPI holds/transport or disengagement tactics for students during behavioral episodes
• Prepare and organize teaching materials and teaching settings prior to each session
• Work collaboratively with team of ABA therapists, BCBAs, related service providers to implement student-specific strategies and protocols
• Report issues or challenges to BCBA Case Manager or Program Supervisor
• Show professional and calm demeanor throughout daily interactions with students, staff, parents, and visitors
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• NYS Teacher’s Certification highly preferred
• PROMPT & Music Therapy preferred
• MA/MS degree, eligible for NYS LBA or LBA Limited Permit or enrolled in NYS approved ABA program
• Experience with children with Autism or PDD population using the ABA model
• Experience working in a home-based environment preferred
• Must be able to work independently and maintain a professional yet friendly demeanor when working in the home and clinic.
• Must have a compatible device (iPad, Laptop etc.) to use for electronic notes
