The A-Level and B-Level Tech position wages are based on a flat rate program.

Flag rate wages are based on applicable experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform work specified on the repair order efficiently and follow dealership procedures.
  • Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs.
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
  • Complete assigned training as directed by the supervisor, funded by the dealership.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • 2+ years of Service Technician experience
  • High school diploma, GED, or applicable work/education combination
  • ASE Certification required
  • Experience using a computer, laptop, or tablet at work
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures, and understand specification data
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
  • Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair.
  • Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve.
  • Ability to collaborate with others effectively.
