Position: Accounting Clerk

Location: Kahului, HI

Experience: Minimum of three years accounting experience; Experience in a travel & tourism environment is preferred; A/P, A/R and General Ledger skills preferred

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Associate's degree (A.A.) preferred.

Type: Full-time; Contract

Schedule: Day Time

Pay: $22/hr

Employers Options is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Responsible for all facets of sales accounting to keep billing and collections current
• Reconciliation of supplier billing and hotel statements, forwarding invoices for payment Daily cash reconciliation and reporting
• Assist with A/P – forwarding of invoices, reconciliation, follow up, monthly check requests (parking permits, landing fees, additional rent)
• Assist with month end G/L closing
• Monthly reports for the state of HI (landings, overflights, revenue)
• Retail - transfers, PO's, physical inventory count
• Other related duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

• Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
• Able to meet deadlines and multi-task
• Self-starter
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• A/P and A/R experience.
• General ledger accounting skills preferred.
