Pasteurizer Operator

2nd Shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) – Must be available to work weekends

3rd Shift (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM)– Must be available to work weekends

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Obtains product quantity and variety to be pasteurized from crew leader
• Ensure that CIP was performed prior to use, then start up pasteurizer to heat and circulate water
• Secure all necessary connections to holding tank
• Transfer juice to bottling when pasteurizer has reached the desired temperature
• Observe water or steam temperature gauge to ensure consistency; notify crew leader and QA if there is a deviation
• Clean bottling transfer lines, holding tanks, and receiving lines using the CIP system
• Communicates with bottling team to determine accurate quantities are delivered
• Communicates with QA regarding blend sheets
• Completes paper work recording number of gallons pasteurized, temperatures, time, etc.
• Clean or CIP pasteurizer during changeovers according to the cleaning matrix table
• CIP pasteurizer at the end of each run; use correct chemicals safely and accurately while following all CIP steps
• Follows all company policies and procedures regarding GMP’s, SOP’s and Quality standards
• Other duties as assigned or required
• Must be able to work in a physical environment (walking, bending, stooping, twisting, standing, up/down stairs) for long periods of time; able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently exposed to wet, cold, hot or humid conditions/temperatures associated with a manufacturing environment, moving mechanical parts, forklifts, and citrus fumes.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
