Purpose of Position/Summary:
The Building Sub is an integral part of our school community. The Building Sub provides substitute coverage for teachers on an as needed basis. On the rare occasion that there is not a sub opening for the day, the building sub will assist with various administrative or classroom tasks assigned by the building administrator.
Job Requirements:
- Enthusiasm for content and developmental needs and energy of elementary students.
- Focus on building and modeling interpersonal relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
- Demonstrate competence in Google Apps for Education and Chromebooks.
- Serve as a resource for administration, helping to develop a program that serves the needs of students.
- Ability and flexibility to follow lesson plans and classroom management systems in a variety of settings.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of 60 college credit hours or an associate degree is required.
- Must be flexible and hardworking, dedicated to the success of students
- Must demonstrate an enthusiasm for working with and developing positive, supportive relationships with students
- Experience working with at-risk student populations preferred.
