Position: Youth Mentor, CIC

Job Type/Hours: 20-25hrs. PT M-F, Schedule is based on the program and client needs.

Location: 248 E Girard Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19125

Summary of Position:

Accountable for the supervision, care and safety of youth placed in CBDS through the strict adherence to established policies, procedures, and orders in the performance of duties. Monitors youth behavior and maintains awareness of residents emotional and physical needs. Maintains group control and watches for signs of withdrawal, disturbances, AWOL plans, problems, and issues. Controls noise levels, behavior and diffuses potentially escalating situations through the application of verbal de-escalating techniques. Coordinates, directs, and monitors the daily activities of youth.

Minimum Qualification:

  • Must possess a minimum of a High school diploma
  • Must have a minimum of 2 yrs. experience working with high-risk youth
  • PA Child Abuse Clearance required
  • PA Mandated Child Abuse Reporter Training Required
  • FBI Clearance required
  • PA Criminal Clearance required
  • Health Assessment required
  • TB Test required
  • Adult and Pediatric CPR Certification Required
  • Valid Drivers License in state you reside (Clean driving history within the last 5 yrs.)
