Worship Leader

This is a Full Time position that provides a salary commensurate with experience and outstanding benefits in a truth and grace filled work environment.

The Grove Church Worship Leader works closely with the Campus Pastor in cultivating accessible and meaningful moments of participatory worship for the congregation, which include singing, scripture, prayer, and times of response.

Reports to: Campus Pastor

FLSA Status: Exempt

Working Hours: This is a full-time position. The usual working hours for this position are Sunday 8:30 am – 12:30 pm; and Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. There is flexibility in the working schedule and working location. During certain times of the year, additional hours may be necessary to meet the demands of the church. All church staff will be asked to support and serve for religious holidays, church events, and worship services, including Christmas Eve and Easter. Support for funerals and additional events will be required as needed.

Job Responsibilities and Duties: Essential duties include the items listed below, plus other duties as required or assigned.

• Contract, manage and schedule worship band personnel
• Worship service song selection and arrangements
• Sunday morning service congregational worship leader
• Special events music (including all church special events as well as supplementary services such as funerals)
• Supplemental content such as video, lyrics, etc., as needed

Education and Desired Skills:

• B.A. (required)
• Music or Sacred Music degree (preferred)
• 3-5 years experience (preferred)
• Proficient in guitar and/or piano
• Strong Vocal ability
• Knowledgeable of a wide range of music gear
• Knowledgeable of local music personnel
• Basic video/audio editing and graphic design skills (preferred)
• Strong communication skills across a wide range of demographics

Preferred Software Experience:

• Competency with basic computer software (Excel, Word, Google Drive) and the capacity to learn new software.
• G Suite (Google, Gmail, Calendar, etc.)
• ProTools (Preferred)
• Adobe Premier (Preferred)
