Position Title:
Women’s Basketball Head Coach
Position Description:
Performs coaching and promotional functions, including fundraising, for the ACC Women’s Basketball team.
Reports To:
Athletic Director
Position Status:
Temporary Part-time, Exempt, Paid by Stipend, subject to annual review and appointment. Practice begins in September; season runs November through March. Recruitment and other related activities may extend beyond the season.

Position Responsibilities:

- Direct and coordinate the activities of the basketball program in the planning, organizing, and coaching of the women’s basketball team.
- Responsible for recruitment of team members.
- Ensure all equipment associated with the basketball program is correctly set up, maintained, stored, and returned on completion of the coaching season.
- Must be willing to work outside of normal hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Coordinate and ensure compliance with College, conference, and NJCAA policies and regulations.
- Support the academic, athletic, and personal development of the student athletes.
- Monitor the expenses associated with the basketball program and make recommendations to the Athletic Director.
- Schedule and arrange team travel with the assistance and approval of the Athletic Director.
- Prepare game plans and strategy for intercollegiate competition.
- Follow all ACC and Athletic Department policies and procedures.
- Report any injuries of participants to proper school officials, filing proper injury report form.
- Communicate and follow up with Athletic Director on team matters requiring approval and input.
- Conduct daily practices (practice schedule varies from early morning to evening hours).
- Travel with team to all games and tournaments.
- Plan, schedule and coordinate pre-season trip and conditioning program.
- Provide other program services as assigned by the Athletic Director.
