About the Position:

A Welder is responsible for assembling pieces of metal together or repairing damage in metal components using heavy machinery that emits high heat, melting the metal into shape. Their duties include reviewing blueprints, cutting metal into the appropriate shape, and join pipes together through various welding processes to withstand required pressure ratings.

Responsibilities:

• Reading and understanding blueprints
• Selecting, measuring, cutting, and joining appropriate metals to specifications.
• Checking finished work to make sure it is completed to code
• Consistently striving for efficiency and effectiveness
• Capacity to learn new information

Qualifications & Experience:

• Must have High School Diploma, or GED equivalent
• Must have at least one welding certification from NCPWB or AWS
• Must be able to cut, bevel, and fit pipes in preparation for welding
• Must be able to pass weld test. as specified by NCPWB welding procedures
• Must have ability to use a computer and mobile apps
• Must have high-level of problem-solving abilities
• Must have clean Motor Vehicle Record

Job Schedule:

• Full-time, Monday-Friday, based on 40-hour work week
• Overtime may be needed, flexibility is necessary
