Position Summary:

Must pass weld test and as a MIG welder. Apply appropriate welding processes to meet specifications. Inspect and repair welds as needed to support the production and assembly of exhaust pipe components. Perform as an active team member in performing other tasks within the cell. Tends one or more machine tools, special purpose machines, industrial robots or hand welder to machine metal work pieces to specifications on production rate basis by performing the following duties.

Major Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties assigned as required)

• Lifts work piece manually or using hoist and secures work piece in fixture or loads automatic feeding device.
• Starts machine, engages feed, and observes operation.
• Mig welds product parts to specification either by machine or manually.
• Inspects and measures machined work pieces to verify conformance to specifications.
• Moves machine controls and guides to adjust machine.
• Replaces worn machine accessories such as cutting tools or brushes.
• Adds coolant to machine reservoir and turns valve to start flow of coolant.
• Files, sands, or shapes machined parts.
• Cleans machined parts.
• Tends machines and equipment other than machine tools.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Successful proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and follow all manuals and standardized work instructions
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to effectively multi-task
• Follow all negotiated changes, projects, and orders through to full completion
• Solid organizational skills
• Possess a strong work ethic.
• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Possess a satisfactory work record and acceptable attendance record
• Quality minded individual
• Posses ability to work independently
• Ability to adapt to frequent changes, delays or unexpected events
• Effective communication skills required, both verbal and written
