QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be a graduate of a state approved school of nursing and carry a current State of Indiana nursing license.
  • Must be willing and able to assume charge of personnel.
  • Must be able to use good critical thinking skills.
  • Must be able to remain calm in stressful situations.
RESPONSBILITIES:
  • Check schedule and make sure everyone is accounted for.
  • Make changes to the schedule to benefit the flow of the units.
  • Make rounds often to check on the staff and assist with problems on the units.
  • Answer the call system in residential and check on those residents in need.
  • Assist the staff in assessing those residents who are having complications, and provide proper care.
  • Assist in covering the schedule when call-ins occur.
  • Check on staff to make sure break times are being followed.
  • Assist staff in settling conflicts.
  • Monitor staff to make sure the smoking policy is being followed.
  • Order medications for residents from appropriate pharmacies.
