Maine Oxy is currently looking to fill a Customer Service Representative position. This is a full-time year-round position with a great opportunity to grow if you are interested in the industry. This is a salaried position working Monday-Friday 7:30am-5pm. We will train you!

Position Summary

Responsible for servicing customers over the telephone both locally and for remote locations in the region. This would include sales, order entry, master file maintenance, and problem resolution. Expediting and product research with vendors and coordination with other departments including field sales. Ideal candidate will demonstrate a willingness to pursue additional job responsibilities in the sales and operations departments of the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answering and responding to incoming telephone inquiries from our customers.
  • Customer orders and credit memorandums entry.
  • Entry and maintenance of customer contact pricing.
  • Research of products with vendors, including price and availability.
  • Research and resolve conflicts related to the order delivery cycle
  • Perform a variety of other customer service-related duties, including but not limited to, research and review of customer account balances, invoices, and leases; interaction with other departments to coordinate deliveries and customer satisfaction; sales and sales support.
  • Demonstrate full knowledge of all order-entry, data research and other computer skills necessary to service customers.
  • Ensure customer inquiries related to billing problems, cylinder balances, order status, time of delivery, etc., are promptly and courteously handled, providing follow-up as necessary.
  • Interfaces with sales, customers, branches and other operating areas to provide timely and accurate communication regarding capabilities, delivery and various other operating requirements.

  • Good organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, management, customers and vendors.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to handle conflict and work within a team environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree in marketing or business related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of call center customer service or inside sales experience preferred.
  • Experience using an automated order entry/inventory system preferred.
  • Computer experience or basic knowledge in computer order entry system

Physical Requirements:

  • Can read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to respond to inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, speak and hear.
  • Frequent sitting and walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; may stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to lift 25lbs to 75lbs, and occasionally lift 76lbs to 100lbs
