Batesville is seeking a Web Designer who will design user-friendly public facing websites that are visually appealing and representative Batesville’s overall business offerings and quality while effectively illustrating the brand identity of Batesville website customers. You will work from home with a remote team who thrives on collaboration and values your input. In this role, you will work closely with Sales and Technology Implementation teams as well as directly with customers, both internal and external, to define requirements and produce effective interface/interaction designs and site usability. This position is responsible for managing work through the entire creative process, from concept to completion for new customer website designs as well as reworks.

What you’ll do:

• Design user-friendly public facing websites that are visually appealing and representative Batesville’s overall business offerings and quality while effectively illustrating the brand identity of Batesville website customers. Understands laying out digital and print content.
• Collaborates actively with internal users, external customers, and vendors during the requirements gathering and development phases of creating web sites.
• Creates, modifies, and develops graphics and images for customer websites and other business needs.
• Identifies visual and user interface improvement suggestions within existing and new products and documents such recommendations with senior designers and product management.
• Provide quality assurance testing on interface elements within the Batesville platforms and on customer websites.
• Assist Sales, Marketing and Support as needed while keeping current deliverables in mind.
• Works with Support and Implementation teams to maintain and format customer websites utilizing existing content management solution.
• Tracks and maintains Technology Solutions’ media assets.
• Maintains and manages ticket creation and linking between tracking platforms to facilitate effective project management between implementation team, design and development teams.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications - External

Basic Requirements:

• Associate degree or equivalent from a college or university in Wed Design/ Graphics
• Minimum of 1-year related Web/Graphics design experience and/or training.

Great to Haves:

• Must have strong artistic, user-interface and Web 2.0 design skills and a working knowledge of industry standard design tools. (Photoshop, Illustrator, In design, Acrobat etc.)
• Demonstrated Knowledge in color theory and interface design
• Ability to adapt styles to changing website design
• Web Design/Basic HTML and CSS, SCSS programming
• Functional understanding of JavaScript and JQuery
• Layout/Conversion Optimization
• Image optimization for use on the web
• Print Design
• A demonstrated portfolio of design and technical work required
• Working knowledge of CRM systems for tracking project success.
• Attention to Detail
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Ability to multi-task and handle multiple ongoing projects.
