JOB TITLE: Warehouse person
PAY RATE: $16-$18/hr; depending on experience
HOURS: M-F 7 AM – 3:30 PM; 40 hrs/week
LOCATION: West Sacramento, CA

POSITION SUMMARY:
Forklift operating, organizing stock in the warehouse, unloading trucks hauling product in, loading trucks hauling product out. Responsible for maintaining a safe and sanitary working environment. Clean warehouse as schedule dictates.
Company will provide training on all essential duties and responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Warehouse environment. Inside temperature changes with the seasons.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining a neat and organized warehouse.
- Perform regular inventory counts.
- Unloading trucks carrying raw and finished materials and checking products in. Sort and place the incoming products in assigned storage areas.
- Loading full truckload (FTL) and less than truckload (LTL) orders.
- Sweeping and general cleaning of warehouse and loading areas.
- Assist maintenance department as needed.
- All other duties assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Experience: None
Preferred Experience: 2 years previous warehouse experience in a food environment. Preferred but not required.
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS:
- Ability to understand truckload arrangements
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- An excellent customer service mindset
- Ability to obtain knowledge of Forklift safety and operation
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure using whole numbers
- Punctuality and Reliability
Minimum Required Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS, COURSES, OR OTHER TRAINING:
- Must have the ability to obtain a forklift operator’s license (company will provide training)
- Current valid Driver’s License required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to operate a forklift for long periods
- Work in a warehouse environment
- Regularly lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Able to work in hot/cold, dusty conditions.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the entire shift.
