Job description

The Wash Bay Supervisor exercises significant discretionary authority and control over the Dover wash bay operations, employees, inventory, purchasing, and training.

Minimum Qualifications for Truck Washer Supervisor:

• Previous management or supervisory experience
• Regularly stand for long periods of time
• Able to bend, stoop, climb, reach
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
• Work in an outdoor or shop environment
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Supervise wash bay technicians directly and indirectly
• Lead education of wash bay employees on new equipment
• Oversee staffing of the facility, which included assisting with new hires and terminations of existing employees
• Prepares performance appraisals of subordinates and makes recommendations to upper management for bonuses and raises
• Delegate responsibilities and subordinated to keep shop areas, inside and out, maintained in a safe and OSHA compliant manner
• Maintain accurate records of each vehicle washed for scheduling and tracking purposes
• When necessary, perform washes on required equipment
• All other duties as assigned by general manager/ upper management
