Our location in the Kent Valley is responsible for the production of deli foods for major retailers across the country. We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor - Pick and Pack to join our busy team. This position is not eligible for relocation and is 100% on-site. FOOD PLANT PREFERRED but not required.

Job Summary:

Responsible for overseeing the activities of the crew and the general state of the warehouse including Pick and Pack, Shipping, and Inventory Control.

Essential Job Duties:

• Oversee activities of the crew and warehouse
• Assist with picking and ensure the accuracy of product being shipped to customers
• Audit outbound product to ensure accuracy of inventory levels
• Maintain close communicating with production team
• In charge of the smooth operation of the pick and pack area
• Monitor email and radio communications.
• Facilitate product transfers.
• Resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain FIFO with all items in the pick and pack area.
• Oversee and train warehouse employees on their daily tasks.
• Responsible for supporting food safety and quality in the plant.
• Must be able to work overtime when business requires, i.e., busy seasons, vacation coverage, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5-year experience in a production or warehouse environment

1 year riding pallet jack and stand-up forklift experience preferred.

Must be able to identify produce quality, count and have basic math skills.

Ability to work independently and be self-motivated to complete daily tasks with minimal supervision and multi-task.

Must have excellent organization skills and be detail oriented.

Ability to work well with others by building cooperative working relationships with other departments.

Intermediate computer skills in Excel/Word/Outlook

Must be able to lift 50lbs frequently and work in a refrigerated warehouse.

Must have sensory capabilities to avoid accidents as warehouse environment involves fast moving forklift and power jack equipment.

Capable of succeeding in a busy environment

Task and deadline-driven; organized.

Able to work with minimum supervision.

Consistent and reliable attendance.
