Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drive site KPI’s – order accuracy 99%, Reduce error rate to <2%, on-time shipping – 95% or better, help drive inventory accuracy to 95%
  • Streamline workflow from within the office, remove non-value-added steps and drive to a paperless environment
  • Maintains, approves, and tracks timekeeping of Clerk staff utilizing Kronos
  • Guarantee D.O.T. and NFPA shipping compliance
  • Handles discipline of employees in accordance with company policy
  • Generate daily on-time shipping report; provide high level feedback as to why shipments are late
  • Deliver planning goals, hot request, and load plan to supervisors daily.
  • Implement a constant flow of communication to identify capacity issues and related late deliveries
  • Implement OTIF reporting and drive down controllable errors (order priorities).
  • Implement a process to guarantee product in the missing bin report is resolved within 30 days
  • Ordering Shipping and Office supplies utilizing Kanban system
  • Reason Codes compliance 99.5%
  • Develop process that eliminates missing and double handling of orders, improve dwelling time, and increase efficiencies in office staff
  • Support the Continuous Improvement program for Distribution Operations
  • Maintains a professional and courteous relationship cross-functionally, Customer Service, Order Management, Transportation Departments

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Expected to provide excellent customer service, be innovative and maintain a high level of integrity
  • Must be self-driven and able to multi-task
  • Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership skills with the desire to continue learning
  • Ability to function well in a highly stressful and fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to analyze data to identify opportunities, drive into root cause and assist in developing countermeasures
  • Intermediate skills required in Microsoft Office, SAP; Proficient in OTM (Viewer Only)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends or after hours

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma required; Associate Degree preferred; will consider experience in lieu of degree
  • Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification (Preferred)
  • Min 3 years of related experience required

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk 60% and standing / walking 40%
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds
