Job Title: Warehouse Specialist
Rate: $15.00/hour

Hours: Full-Time (30-40 hours/week)

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Pressed Bouquet Shop turns once-in-a-lifetime florals into lasting works of art. We accept bouquets from clients across the country and are in search of creative, engaging, and hardworking individuals to join our growing team.

A Pressed Bouquet Shop Warehouse Specialist is responsible for the day to day operation of our warehouse facility, as well as being the first stop in the process for incoming client flowers. The Warehouse Specialist will have the opportunity to work with fresh florals, intaking fresh bouquets before they begin the preservation process. Responsibilities include shipping and receiving client orders, updating the order management system, maintaining inventory of raw materials, and stocking and organizing the warehouse.

The Warehouse Specialist must be capable of working independently, be self-sufficient, able to solve problems, be meticulously organized, and be a clean yet efficient worker. This position requires individuals to move quickly without losing sight of quality, safety, or cleanliness. This is a physically demanding role and the Warehouse Specialist must be comfortable with the following:

• Ability to frequently lift, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 50 lbs, and may weigh up to 70 lbs
• Ability to stand for 75%+ of every shift
• Work in an environment with noise and temperature fluctuations
• Receive and unload shipments from suppliers, verifying order accuracy
• Move and unload pallet shipments, utilizing pallet jacks and pallet racking systems
• Operate forklifts, straddle stackers, pallet jacks, and other industrial equipment

Paid training is provided, but after training our warehouse specialist is expected to perform daily tasks on an independent level.

Hours are subject to increase/decrease with business needs and performance. This is a seasonal position with an anticipated end date around November 2023 (with the potential to extend). There will be a 30 day probationary period, during which performance and fit will be assessed.

Key Responsibilities

• Warehouse
• Accept deliveries and verify accuracy of shipment contents
• Unload pallets and shipments, and distribute to applicable departments or inventory storage locations
• Update inventory tracking records and maintain accurate inventory counts at all times
• Maintain an orderly system for all moving parts within the warehouse, ensuring a clean and organized space
• Move inventory and supplies throughout warehouse, both manually and with the assistance of pallet jacks and other industrial equipment
• Clean up and remove shipping containers, pallets, and waste
• Work closely with Production Manager on day to day operations and overall warehouse management strategy
• Other duties as assigned

• Bouquet Intake
• Accept all deliveries and verify contents
• Unbox all bouquet deliveries, documenting appearance and flower quality, and labeling with order information
• Apply careful attention to detail while examining and noting flower quality, and documenting order details
• Utilize order management system to record order arrival status and notes
• Strategically place bouquets in cooler based on arrival and event date
• Maintain a clean and orderly unboxing area, taking out trash and recycling as needed
• Assist with recreation and extra flower orders, routing fresh flowers to available pressers based on current bouquet volume, and communicate progress to Production Manager
• Maintain regular and proactive communication with Production Manager and all other relevant team members
