As part of their essential functions, they must be able to perform any of the functions related to these jobs. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities: *Include the following. Other duties may be assigned or required by management. * Determines the amounts of trucks to be loaded and trips to be delivered by running and reviewing the Open Order Report. * Calls customers to verify acceptance of abnormally large deliveries. * Ensures the accuracy of “Ship To” information and amounts on skid as noted on Bill of Lading at dock. * Removes small orders that can be sent by UPS; provides list to Customer Service so that Customer may be called to verify acceptance of UPS delivery. * Provides Yard Storage Associate with items of outside material that must be collected and staged for loading. * Rounds up trips and stages all material in pre-designated areas sorted by driver using the Pulling Report. * Submits Pulling Report & loading paperwork to Data Entry Associate. * Performs loading process. * Cleans area at end of shift to include emptying trash, sweeping aisles, and ensuring that break and drivers’ room are neat and clean. * Maintains open line of communication with supervisor, peers, and other departments directly involved in the process of shipping product. * Offers assistance to peers, data entry operator, or receiving personnel when own tasks are completed. * This position requires regular and reliable attendance and adherence to work schedules. *Qualifications: *The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Previous distribution warehousing experience preferred, must possess the skills required to work in a fast-paced environment where a high level of pressure and stress due to constant changes may be involved. *Special Requirements: *May need to be trained and certified in forklift operations and the handling of hazardous materials; Class B CDL License preferred. Must wear company provided uniform and protective footwear. Cannot wear earrings, long chains, or other jewelry that may cause injury during the normal course of performing this job. *Physical Demands: *The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job is performed while sitting at a desk using a computer and/or telephone 90% of the time. Will assist warehouse personnel from time to time by moving product and/or entering the warehouse to locate inventory, which will require lifting up to 75 pounds. *Work Environment: *The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
