Summary

The Warehouse Operations Manager will be a resource for between 3 to 5 separate warehouse teams in the headquarters / central warehouse and manage transactional operations of our warehouse management system. This role is responsible for leading the warehouse teams to success by helping to manage day-to-day operations, monitoring procedures, implementing best practices, reporting on market trends and back-filling active Warehouse roles as needed. This dynamic leader will be pushing continuous improvement in workplace safety, production efficiency, product cost, and customer service.

Essential Functions

  • Regional inventory management for FCG warehouse (staff and equipment)
  • Warehouse best practices implementation - Stock Rotation, Cycle Counts, Full Inventories.
  • Identify where procedural updates are needed within all warehouse functions to achieve efficiencies across the markets.
  • Function as the primary driver responsible for implementing and sustaining all 5s, Lean and Safety implementation.
  • Work closely with the inventory managers and team to perform analysis of our inventory and ensure we are utilizing our inventory effectively, purchasing the right equipment, maintaining accurate inventory data.
  • Manage, lead, coach, and develop Fluid Flow Warehouse Associates. Also, responsible for the indirect oversight of other Warehouse Associates with a dotted-line matrix.
  • Create an exciting team environment through great leadership, motivational practices, and courage.
  • Run a safe, injury/accident-free workplace. Design and implement a safety program with a focus on metrics (Ex: TRIR) with a long-term prevention, education, and training focus.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse management systems.
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams across multiple brands/entities.

Travel

Minimal travel between area site locations is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

Must have proven record of implementing and improving organizational performance. Exceptional project management, strong decision-making and solution implementation skills required. Ability to comfortably work in a

high- volume environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
  • Warehouse operations experience in multiple sites, preferred
  • Experience in dealing with traditional transportation functions (LTL and Parcel)
  • Excellent customer-facing experience and effective communication skills.
  • Strong team leadership and process management skills.
  • Experience working with warehouse management systems.
  • Inventory management experience.
  • Able to work collaboratively with multiple department leaders to gain consensus on projects and initiatives and develop long-term operational plans.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and principles is desired.
  • Proficiency / experience writing and implementing SOP’s.
