About the role
This position requires the employee to deliver, ship and receive parts (possibly after hours) putting inventory on shelves, pulling orders for customers, minimum computer operations.
- Fulltime, Hours typically 8-5
- Location: Sandersville, GA
- Salary range is based on experience
Responsibilities
- Employee will assist shipping and receiving, unload trucks, check in products, complete outgoing (shipping/sales) and incoming (receiving/returns) paperwork clearly and accurately.
- Pull customer orders from computer printouts, drive delivery vehicle to customer site to deliver and/or pick up parts.
- Place products on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Perform daily computer updates and complete daily paperwork.
- Clean and maintain delivery vehicle, attend weekly meetings, keep work area clean (inside and out).
- Will assist in the counting of physical inventory, may prepare parcels for mailing.
- Learn and understand suppliers code details, product listings and descriptions.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed by supervisor that employee can safely perform.
- Driver will follow all company policies and must maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report.
- Must also follow all company policies and take care of customers 24/7/365.
Candidate requirements
- Must have the ability to work independently
- Be proficient in the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- You will be required to drive various vehicles to include trucks and forklifts.
- Must have good customer service skills, good communication skills, a good positive attitude with a professional image to represent the company appropriately.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Driver must be able to follow verbal and written directions.
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with both hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- You may also be required to sit and climb or balance.
- You must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds with assistance.
- Successful candidates must submit to post offer pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and have an acceptable 3-year Motor Vehicle Report as may be required by current company policy.
