GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The role of L4 – The Warehouse Lead in the warehouse is a role of guiding the associates through their day-to-day tasks. Employees will be looking to the Lead to find out what their assignments are for the day, how they are doing through the day, and any feedback that may need passed down to them. The Lead is the on-the-floor role that is out there ensuring that the daily job is getting completed.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

- Arrive to work daily in a timely manner. Fifteen minutes before the team arrives is ideal for a person in a leadership position.

- Meet with the Operations Manager to have the day planned out the night prior. This will help keep the team more productive at the start of the day.

- Coach, Train, and Guide your team through the processes daily. Everyday focus on developing your team. When one employee does everything, the rest of the team does nothing. Balance out the workload with the team you have.

- Be an example. Perception is everything.

- Manage employee’s hours. Ability to dismiss the team when there is lack of work.

- Complete Daily, Weekly, Monthly ADMIN work, including End of Night reports.

MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

- Complete the tasks passed down to the team through Leadership, that is requested in a daily basis.

- Ability to lift 50 or more pounds throughout the day.

- Ability to load and unload trailers without damaging customer freight.

- Must be able to work in a team at times, and also independently without supervision at others. - Communicate with Leadership for various tasks.

- Safety Conscious: See Something Say Something. - Appropriately requesting time off when it is needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $41,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
